Why join?

Members receive community support, access to CSAA activities, access to the members listserv, and a subscription to the Q1 journal, Continuum: A journal of media and Cultural Studies. Delegates at the CSAA conference automatically become members of the Association. This cost is included in the registration fee.

It can be tough to keep up with new research in between writing, chasing grant funding and contending with busy teaching semesters. We also recognise the difficulties in engaging with the broader Cultural Studies community amid an institutional climate of increasing isolation, where insecure casual roles and short-term contracts are increasingly common.

Membership fees are based on income level

Memberships are renewed annually, at the conference. Membership fees are scaled to ensure membership is affordable for academics across different stages of their career.
